White Cube

Ting Gong - White Cube is a continuation project of “________ That Disappears”. An important making method i made for design was to avoid excessive open and close elements, for example, one pair of trousers is joined by only one transparent snap. the use of metal coating mesh adds unique and tactile dimensions to the design. each pattern was sealed with up to 3 layers of different materials. the sculptural form was assembled by hand-sewing and ultrasonic-welding. each design is titled based on characteristics of shape or technique.
